Video Download Toolbar - Download videos from your browser
Downloading YouTube or other videos from the Internet is a real easy these days. Never before did we had so much access to so much information. Sakysoft's Video Download Toolbar is another fine example of this trend.
Downloading the installation kit should pose no problem, but you might want to take it slow when actually installing the toolbar, unless you want your browser's home page, new tab and other stuff turned inside out. The browser that gets along best with this toolbar seems to be Mozilla Firefox. On Internet explorer you will only find one button which is really all you need. Just click it and the download will commence. Google Chrome seems to have the same issue, but you might not even find that one button at all. All these are most probably browser related issues, but for a novice user, it may be a bit confusing. Out of the three browsers, was the best to adapt the new toolbar.
Downloading a video works like a charm. You don't even need to copy and paste an URL. Just go the page with your target video, hit the "download video" button and watch as it takes off. The download speed is fairly quick and you can also download multiple videos. A feature only available with Internet Explorer allows you to automatically download a video when you play it on the browser. Even if using it is child's play, you might get tangled up a bit when hitting that download button. Sometimes you will see the progress bar, other times a message will appear near the system tray telling you that the download has begun or that it's done. The best thing to do is take it slow and you'll have no problems.
Besides the main feature, the toolbar also features a search function, some shortcuts to most viewed or top favorites YouTube videos, a shortcut to YouTube that works most of the time, Facebook emoticons, games, radio and weather forecast. Looks like no toolbar can help itself when it comes to filling up your browser. A drawback is the fact that the videos it downloads are stored as .flv files. Once the download is complete you do have an option to convert, but this starts downloading AVS Video Converter. And if your Internet connection is slow, you might want to abort the download because the installation kit is almost 70 Mb large and will take forever to finish.
pro:
The toolbar is quite useful if you need a video downloaded and you can do this directly from your browser. There's no need to run a separate program, copy and paste the URL and so on. Efficiency is this toolbar's strenght.
con:
You need too look carefully and understand the toolbar's settings. If you're not careful you won't realize when and how it's downloading something.
Sakysoft's Video Download Toolbar offers an easy and fast way to download videos from YouTube and other web sites as well. Just one click and it's done.
